James R. Shipley, DPM

Dr. James R. Shipley is the founder of InStride Foot & Ankle Specialists and began his first practice, Mt. Airy Foot & Ankle Center, in October 2008. Upon receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Shipley attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA for his medical training, and completed his residency at Tulane University, Lakeside Hospital in Louisiana.

After almost a decade of successful podiatric care in Mount Airy, Shipley opened a second and third location in Winston-Salem and Clemmons, NC. The 3 practices are joined to form InStride Foot & Ankle Specialists.

He loves the outdoors, sports, and reading. Dr. Collard lives in the Winston Salem area with his wife and three children.
